Institutional subscriptions are not valid for Journal CME on CTSNet.

How can one earn CME credit?Up

CME credit is granted on a per-activity basis (maximum 1 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM). To earn credit, the learner must be a subscriber of the journal, answer all the questions for a particular article, and get 100% of the questions correct.

What documentation is provided to prove completion of the CME activity?Up

Once the learner has completed an activity and specified how much credit he/she is claiming, a “My CME” summary page will be updated to reflect the credit earned along with a link to a printable version of the official certificate for that activity.

How does one know that the answers for the CME quiz are correct?Up

Once the learner has completed a specific CME course, the test score is displayed, along with the correct answers highlighted. A link to the preferred answer in the context of the reading material is also provided in The Annals of Thoracic Surgery and the European Journal of Cardio-thoracic Surgery activities.

What percentage of questions must be answered correctly to earn credit?Up

The learner must correctly answer 100% of the questions. The learner is given the opportunity to re-answer incorrectly answered questions until he/she achieves a score of 100%.
